We have just completed designing a website together with logo, name cards and letterhead for Veda Arts Gallery. Included in the project is also a fully functional CMS for updating the Flash website.

Virtual Pharmacy E-Learning: Mock ups

This was a quick mock-up done within 3 days or so a few months back. It’s a mock-up on an E-learning site. Users get to go through various sections to familiarize themselves with the relevant duties.

Various design and technical considerations had to be made during the process, such as the logic, flow and updatability in terms on the content. Unfortunately, this remains as just a mock-up.

The Visionary Residences

Another one of the recent projects, Visionary is a simple Flash site with a built-in CMS to update its gallery. 

 

Interactive Guide to Bunkering in Singapore

We have just wrapped up a project for the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The project is an interactive guide to bunkering in Singapore, targeted towards industry use.

Plenty of 3D images had to be rendered and plenty of content had to be organized. Other than the usual informational content, there is a step-by-step guide to bunkering and a quiz on that too.

On top of the interactive, we had to do up DVD cover, a large format banner and handle the production of the 1500 DVDs and banner. An opening video for the event itself had to be done too.

Water Wally E-Games

We have finally completed the Water Wally E-Games. The project consists of 2 Flash Games and 1 gift redemption system where players can accumulate points to redeem Water Wally gifts.

Water saving and water conservation tips are spread out over the games, telling players what-to-do and what-not-to-do.

Water Wally Neighborhood Patrol sees Water Wally visiting his friends’ houses and help them with saving water. This is essentially a rhythm game.

Water Wally Kayaking Adventure sees Water Wally helping to clean up our reservoirs.

Million Destiniz: Neo Trading Card

This is one of our recently wrapped-up projects. Website, Application and Trailer for a new trading card game, Million Destiniz. Some screenshots below.

The website consists of an animated comics introduction to the premise of the game and also an animated tutorial that goes through step-by-step to guide new players on the finer details of the game.

PD Design Studio Website: Version 2.0

It’s been more than 3 years since the PD Design Studio’s site been up. We have received compliments when the site was launched, but we have also received a fair bit of complaints about the site every now and then, particularly about the navigation and how hard it’s to locate the portfolios.

Well, wait no more as we are currently working on the version 2.0. In fact, right now it’s being hosted here. Do take a look at the current work-in-progress and leave us some comments. Do note that the write-ups on the projects are temporary.

We’ll be launching a no-frills site, with all necessary functions, without any bells and whistles very soon. Hopefully, we’ll find time soon enough to update it with more interactive elements. But for now, this is it.

Post-Processing

I have recently stumbled on some Flickr photos that looks amazing (at least to me).  They look even more amazing when I saw the original straight-out-of-camera (sooc) shots.  Some of the SOOC, if I took them, I would delete them upon reviewing on my DSLR ‘cos they do look like exposed wrongly.  But these photographers had the visions to know what the end product would be like after post-processing.  Seeing that, I was determined to at least give it a shot.

I took a couple of my photos and worked on them, trying out new ways of processing and see if anything would come out of it.  I quite like the end results, and I am sharing the before and after images.

 

Singapory: An Adventure into the Singapore Story

We have just completed production of Singapory.  Singapory is an interactive boardgame based on the history of Singapore.  It brings the players through 5 different time zones.

Singapory is an interactive CD-rom.  Players get to play together in groups of up to 5.  Their score and ranking will be recorded and a certificate will be awarded to them based on how well they fare.

Zone 1: The Beginning, primarily talks about the founding of Singapore by Sir Stamford Raffles.  You would also be able to spot Sang Nila Utama in the picture as it was an integral part of our history.

Zone 2: Building of New Nation is about the hardships and toils of the early immigrants.

Zone 3: A Nation at War revolves around 1 of the darkest period of our history, the Japanese Occupation.  And expect to land on lots of Penalty tiles as it was indeed a tough period.

Zone 4: The Rise of a Nation sees the period when Singapore was separated from Malaysia and the forming of our government.  Needless to say, MM Lee was portrayed here.

Zone 5: The Future is all about the exciting times where Singapore is transformed into a metropolitan city with the numerous iconic developments.

Operation M.A.C.E – Event

Here are some photos of the event where M.A.C.E was launched. The “Clean and Green Singapore – Schools’ Carnival” was hosted at Anchor Green Primary for a duration of 3 days from 10 – 12th November.

The event do look quite fun with the game booths being so crowded. M.A.C.E Agents, Guy and Sypher even made an appearance to recruit new agents for M.A.C.E. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the event myself as I was out of the country. Photos were provided by NEA.
